What does Dual AI actually change?
Oticon describes Reveal as using two coordinated AI pathways. Speech AI focuses on speech access, while Context AI preserves useful environmental information. The goal is not simply stronger noise reduction, but a more balanced sound scene.
Does Reveal replace Intent?
No. Newer technology does not make Intent clinically unsuitable. Intent remains a current, capable platform and may be the better practical choice depending on local availability, price, hearing-loss configuration, ear coupling, phone compatibility and the patient’s priorities.
What stays the same?
Both families still need a current hearing assessment, appropriate receiver and coupling selection, careful programming and follow-up. Premium processing does not remove the need for real-ear measurement where appropriate.
Connectivity
